A 14" ash/iroko snare drum with a full half inch shell thickness (12mm thick). The golden ash makes a beautiful contrast with the darker iroko top and bottom of the shell, producing a classic looking snare drum.
The combined woods have similar densities and hardness to maple, and the heavy wall thickness gives this a full, warm melodic tone, whilst the G2 head gives plenty of punch and attack. The drum is fitted with a reassuringly chunky NickelWorks strainer and FatCat snares. Find this in the Classic Snares section of the website's Drum Shop.
