The shell of this snare is made from a combination of two woods that are favourites among makers of musical instruments for both their distinctive looks and sound.
They are both hard, dense woods, giving the a drum with lots of punch and attack. The main material for the shell is stunningly patterned Wenge, offset with two bands of naturally coloured Purpleheart. This snare has a full, rich, warm sound and can be heard in a recent Drummers Review video, where you can hear just how amazing it sounds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irGgmTdbbng The snare comes with an Evans G1 head and Puresound Custom Pro 24 strand snare, classic chrome tube lugs and S-hoops.
