This is a deep, heavy, full on solid wooden snare drum. It is made from classic straight-grained oak with stripes of red Padauk. The shell is machined to a half inch thickness and finished with traditional french polish. The shell is a full half inch and has a wide, full sound. It is responsive and resonant and really comes into its own at higher tunings.
