Shell of solid, segmented purpleheart. This is a very hard and dense wood and has excellent acoustic properties. It also has such an amazing natural purple colour. In this drum the purpleheart is used with two thin beech rings to really emphasise the vibrant colour of the wood.
The drum has the usual top hardware spec and a high gloss lacquer finish.
