A 13" oak snare with some very individual characteristics. The main oak sections of the shell are cut with the grain vertical (stave construction) but to give enhanced stability and rigidity the central bands of padauk and wenge and the end sections of bubinga are segmented construction. The end result is a snare with a stunning appearance, the response of a solid wooden oak snare but the additional punch of a segmented shell.
The snare has the usual top quality hardware; classic tube-lugs, the 3P DW snare butt allowing 3 different snare settings at a click of a lever, with the DW Mag throwoff and Custom Pro snare wire.
